Rental Terms
1. General Provisions
This contract governs the rental of ORANGECAR vehicles. By signing the contract, the customer fully accepts the following terms and conditions.
2. Customer Responsibility
The customer is responsible for:
Any damage or loss of the vehicle during the rental period.
Fines, penalties, and costs resulting from violations of the Highway Code.
Additional costs if the vehicle is returned in non-compliant conditions (e.g., dirty, with bad odors, or with unreported damages).
3. Vehicle Use
The customer agrees:
Not to use the vehicle for passenger transport for payment (e.g., taxi, car sharing, etc.).
Not to drive it on unsuitable roads, off-road, or on race tracks.
Not to overload the vehicle with passengers or luggage beyond the allowed limits.
Not to tow or push other vehicles or trailers without written consent.
Not to transport hazardous, flammable, or foul-smelling materials.
Not to participate in races, competitions, or illegal activities.
Not to drive in restricted areas, such as reserved airport zones.
Not to violate the Highway Code or other applicable regulations.
Geographical Limitations
The vehicle may only circulate within the Sicily region. To travel to other regions, prior authorization is required.
Driving Authorization
Only the renter and authorized persons may drive the vehicle.
The driver must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications that impair driving ability.
4. Insurance and Liability Limitations
The rental includes Third Party Liability Insurance (RCA), which covers damage to third parties. Additional coverage options are available:
Mini Kasko (€10/day, €750 deductible)
Covers damage from collisions with another moving or stationary vehicle.
The involved vehicle must be identifiable and registered.
Partial Kasko (€20/day, deductible €300)
Also covers weather damage, vandalism, theft, fire.
Exclusions: Insurance does not cover damage caused by hitting fixed and moving obstacles on the road, running off the road, overturning on the road, puncture of the car's tires, and driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
Full Kasko (€30/day, no deductible)
Also covers damage from weather events, vandalism, theft, fire, and rollovers.
Exclusions: Insurance does not cover damages caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
5. Vehicle Return
The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time and place.
The fuel level must match that at the time of pick-up; otherwise, refueling costs will be charged.
A late return incurs a penalty equal to one rental day per hour of delay.
Off-hours returns are possible by prior agreement, but the customer remains responsible until the vehicle is received by ORANGECAR staff.
If the vehicle is excessively dirty or has strong odors (including smoke), a €50 penalty will be applied.
6. Fines and Tolls
The customer is responsible for:
Paying fines and penalties for traffic violations.
Paying highway tolls and fees for restricted traffic zones.
Administrative costs for handling fines and violations.
7. Breakdowns, Theft, and Accidents
In case of breakdown, theft, fire, or accident:
Immediately contact ORANGECAR and Roadside Assistance.
Complete the CID form (provided at vehicle pick-up).
Report any injuries or damages to people to the competent authorities.
Do not admit liability without authorization from the rental company.

8. Cancellations and Refunds
The deposit paid for the reservation is non-refundable in case of customer cancellation.
If theft occurs without returning the keys, the customer is liable for the full value of the vehicle.
